Accessibility Statement

Sleepy Hollow Inn Bed and Breakfast is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability. We aim to adhere as closely as possible to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0, Level AA), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make Web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly to everyone. Whilst www.sleepyhollowinnbnb.com strive to adhere to the guidelines and standards for accessibility, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website and we are currently working to achieve this. Be aware that due to the dynamic nature of the website, minor issues may occasionally occur as it is updated regularly. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility.

If you have any comments and or suggestions relating to improving the accessibility of our site, please don't hesitate to contact our accessibility coordinator Lawrence Krisanits at lkrisanits@outlook.com. Your feedback will help us make needed improvements.

The Inn is not childproofed and because of that we politely ask that all visiting children abide by the same safety and basic behavior rules that we require of all our guests. We reserve the right to inform guests and their children if behavior is dangerous or inappropriate.

Some of our rooms only have one bed and can accommodate only two people.

ROOMS WITH JETTED TUBS:
While we understand the jetted tubs set a very relaxing and romantic ambience, we ask guests to please refrain from using personal bath bombs and flamed candles with the jetted tubs. The Inn offers bath bombs at an additional price that are safe and friendly to use in the jetted tubs. We ask that you refrain from using flamed candles anywhere on the property as it is a fire hazard. Some rooms provide battery operated candles for guests to use during their stay.

SPECIAL EVENTS:
Special Events include holidays, major conventions, festivals, or cultural events. Higher rates & minimum stays may apply.

CHECK-IN TIME:
Check in is from 4-7 P.M. and we cannot ensure rooms will be available before this time. Please inform the Inn of an approximate arrival time so we can prepare for your arrival in order to greet and check you in. In special circumstances, specifically late-night arrivals, we can arrange for you to receive an access code/key for your room. If your arrival time changes due to weather or other delay, please keep us updated so we can arrange a quick and stress-free check-in. We know that plans do change but please try to check in during the check in hours. We are up early to prepare a fresh hot breakfast in the morning.

CHECK-OUT TIME:
Our check out time is 11:00 A.M. which allows us the opportunity to prepare our rooms for arriving guests. However, do not feel pressured to leave exactly at that time, Guests are welcome to enjoy the public areas of our house and grounds.

FOOD AND HEALTH ACCOMODATION:
The Sleepy Hollow Inn understands the difficulty of living and traveling with specific dietary requirements. We are happy to accommodate our guests in any way necessary to provide the most delicious and nutritious breakfast possible. Please call or email us ahead of time for any special food requirements or requests. Breakfast is served daily 8:00 am or 9:00 am.

PARKING:
We allow one car per room, as we have a limited number of spots. Additional cars would have to park down the hill from the Inn. Upon arrival, it is easiest to park in the driveway around the back of the main house and unload luggage. Overnight parking is at the rear of the main house or at the carriage house if your room is there.

PETS AND CRITTERS:
As much as we love all animals, they are not appropriate for our Inn. Well-behaved, leashed animals are welcome on the grounds, and we can refer you to nearby pet care facilities that accept your furry family members during your visit. Within walking distance of the Inn is Hounds in the Hollow Kennel which can hosts your pets for a very reasonable rate. Please ask about special arrangements for service animals.

GUESTS WITH MOBILITY CONCERNS OR DISABILITIES:
Several guest rooms are located on the second level of the Inn with no easy access. Our exterior entrances to the main facility require entrance using stairs. Full wheelchair accessibility to our rooms isn't available. Some of the door widths throughout the house are 30-32 inches, some are not. To the best of our ability, we want to accommodate our guests’ special needs. Please talk with us about what arrangements you need and what arrangements we can provide.

SPECIAL REQUESTS:
Please reach out to us if you have a unique request that was not covered in our general policies. We are happy to help set up a special date night or do what we can to help make your stay more memorable. We know the area, we know the companies around, and would be happy to assist in whatever you may need. Depending on the services we can work together and set up a quote.

HOUSEKEEPING
For the safety of our guests and us, we will not be entering guests' rooms during their stay. This means we won't be doing the daily cleanings if you're here for a multi-night stay. We will provide extra towels in every room, but if you need more towels during your stay, let us know during breakfast. If you need your trash taken out, please tie the bag and leave it outside your door in the morning. We will come around and collect all the trash after breakfast is over.
