Accessibility Statement

Sleepy Hollow Inn Bed and Breakfast is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability. We aim to adhere as closely as possible to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0, Level AA), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make Web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly to everyone. Whilst www.sleepyhollowinnbnb.com strive to adhere to the guidelines and standards for accessibility, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website and we are currently working to achieve this. Be aware that due to the dynamic nature of the website, minor issues may occasionally occur as it is updated regularly. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility.

If you have any comments and or suggestions relating to improving the accessibility of our site, please don't hesitate to contact our accessibility coordinator Lawrence Krisanits at lkrisanits@outlook.com. Your feedback will help us make needed improvements.

POLICIES

 SMOKE-FREE FACILITY:
Smoking is prohibited inside all facilities. Guests that smoke in the facilities, including in the private guest rooms, will be asked to check out immediately and the remainder of the room charge will be forfeited. Guests will also be charged with any and all costs for restoring the guest rooms to a smoke-free condition.

GUESTS AND CHILDREN:
Guests are responsible for any damages or missing items and will be charged for restoring or replacing items. We welcome all children and want them to enjoy their stay, but we need them to be safe. The inn is not childproofed and because of that we politely ask that all visiting children abide by the same safety and basic behavior rules that we require of all our guests. We reserve the right to inform guests and their children if behavior is dangerous or inappropriate.

RATES:
Our rates are based on season, double occupancy, and may change at any time prior to booking at the sole discretion of the Inn. 9% Sales and Lodging taxes apply to all rates (PA state 6%, Northumberland County 3%). Promotional offers or discounts are sometimes available. Rates posted on the website are current promotions and may not apply to all dates based on Special Events or availability.

FORM OF PAYMENT:
We gladly accept Cash or major credit cards: Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express. We prefer that you pay on the website via Stripe or PayPal.

RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS:
There are no refunds for early checkouts or changes in arrival dates unless guests notify the Inn, in advance. Cancellations will be charged a $30.00 administrative fee to cover the service charges associated with making the credit refund. Cancellations made 8-14 days prior to arrival, will forfeit 50% of the charge. Cancellations made 7 days or less before arrival will forfeit the total charge, Charges will be waivered if the canceled room is rented.

ROOM RATES AND CAPACITY:
Room rates quoted are per night unless otherwise stated in a package plan. Rates are for Double occupancy. There is an additional charge for a third or fourth person in a room. Not all our rooms can accommodate more than two people. Please contact us for rooms that can accommodate more than two people; such rooms include a queen-sized bed as well as a futon or sofa bed.

ROOMS WITH JETTED TUBS:
While we understand the jetted tubs set a very relaxing and romantic ambience, we ask guests to please refrain from using personal bath bombs and flamed candles with the jetted tubs. The Inn offers bath bombs at an additional price that are safe and friendly to use in the jetted tubs. We ask that you refrain from using flamed candles anywhere on the property as it is a fire hazard. Some rooms provide battery operated candles for guests to use during their stay.

SPECIAL EVENTS:
Special Events include holidays, major conventions, festivals, or cultural events. Higher rates & minimum stays may apply.

CHECK-IN TIME:
Check in is from 4-7 P.M. and we cannot ensure rooms will be available before this time. If guests arrive before check-in and rooms are not available, we can accommodate luggage. Please inform the Inn of an approximate arrival time so we can prepare for your arrival in order to greet and check you in. In special circumstances, specifically late-night arrivals, we can arrange for you to receive an access code for the front entrance and your room key in a secure location. If your arrival time changes due to weather or other delay, please keep us updated so we can arrange a quick and stress-free check-in.

CHECK-OUT TIME:
Our check out time is 11:00 A.M. which allows us the opportunity to prepare our rooms for arriving guests. However, do not feel pressured to leave exactly at that time, Guests are welcome to enjoy the public areas of our house and grounds. Arrangements can be made to store luggage until you leave or to be picked up later in the day.

FOOD AND HEALTH ACCOMODATION:
The Sleepy Hollow Inn understands the difficulty of living and traveling with specific dietary requirements. We are happy to accommodate our guests in any way necessary to provide the most delicious and nutritious breakfast possible. Please call or email us ahead of time for any special food requirements or requests. Breakfast is served daily 7:00 am to 9:00 am and special requests for earlier times can be scheduled by calling or emailing with your request.

PARKING:
Upon arrival, it is easiest to park in the driveway around the back of the main house and unload luggage. Overnight parking is at the rear of the main house or at the carriage house if your room is there.

PETS AND CRITTERS:
As much as we love all animals, they are not appropriate for our Inn. Well-behaved, leashed animals are welcome on the grounds, and we can refer you to nearby pet care facilities that accept your furry family members during your visit. Within walking distance of the Inn is Hounds in the Hollow Kennel which can hosts your pets for a very reasonable rate. Please ask about special arrangements for service animals.

GUESTS WITH MOBILITY CONCERNS OR DISABILITIES:
Several guest rooms are located on the second level of the Inn as well as all exterior entrances to the main facility require entrance using stairs. Full wheelchair accessibility requires special arrangement to provide access. Some of the door widths throughout the house are 30-32 inches, some are not. To the best of our ability, we want to accommodate our guests’ special needs. Please talk with us about what arrangements you need and what arrangements we can provide.

SPECIAL REQUESTS:
Please reach out to us if you have a unique request that was not covered in our general policies. We are happy to help set up a special date night or do what we can to help make your stay more memorable. We know the area, we know the companies around, and would be happy to assist in whatever you may need. Depending on the services we can work together and set up a quote.

HOUSEKEEPING
For the safety of our guests and us, we will not be entering guests' rooms during their stay. This means we won't be doing the daily cleanings if you're here for a multi-night stay. We will provide extra towels in every room, but if you need more towels during your stay, let us know during breakfast. If you need your trash taken out, please tie the bag and leave it outside your door in the morning. We will come around and collect all the trash after breakfast is over.
